We understand that our actions have an impact on the environment, and we are dedicated to reducing that impact in every way possible. That's why we have implemented new and innovative approaches to sourcing, production, and distribution that prioritize the health of our planet.

From the very beginning, we have focused on efficiency in production, while also adhering to the most stringent environmental and sustainability standards. This means that we prioritize ethical material sourcing and work to minimize our carbon footprint. Our Canadian plant uses cutting-edge technologies that help us reduce energy use and boost energy efficiency, so that we can ensure the world we live in remains habitable for all. In 2003 & again in 2009, we won the award for the Industrial Manufacturing Company of the Year, and in 2022, the "Manufacturing" award at the Vaughan Business Achievement Awards. We are excited to be nominated again for 2023.

One of our main sustainability pledges is to use 40% renewable materials and replace 70% of our polypropylene yarn (that is usually made from plastics). We are also proud to integrate MICROBAN® into our products, which not only reduces chemical cleaning requirements, but also enhances the lifespan of each rug. By doing so, we are not only reducing waste, but also providing our customers with high-quality, long-lasting products that they can feel good about purchasing. KORHANI is proud to have developed a certified rug capsule collection with UL ECOLOGO that was verified to reduce environmental impact. This certification indicates a product has undergone rigorous scientific testing and exhaustive auditing to prove its compliance with stringent, third-party environmental standards.

WE ARE ALSO COMMITTED TO USING WASTE-CONSCIOUS PACKAGING, SUCH AS RECYCLED OR RECYCLABLE CARDBOARD BOXES, RATHER THAN PLASTIC BAGS. OUR MANUFACTURING FACILITY RECYCLES 100% OF THEIR WASTE AND WE HAVE A PAPERLESS DISTRIBUTION FACILITY. IN ADDITION, WE HAVE OPTIMIZED OUR LOGISTICS BY PRODUCING LOCALLY IN CANADA, WHICH HELPS US TO REDUCE OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT AND OFFER LOW-CARBON SHIPPING OPTIONS.
